ATHLETE A BJJ was founded in Dublin - Ireland, with a mission to provide top-notch sports instruction in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Our journey began with Sensei Adriano, a Brazilian black belt with over 25 years of experience in the art.
Since moving to Ireland in 2013, Sensei Adriano has been committed to passing on his knowledge and skills to students of all levels. Our passion for BJJ drives us to constantly improve and innovate, ensuring that every student who walks through our doors leaves feeling empowered and inspired.
He is always present, dedicated to his principles and improvement of all. Gratitude to Master Paulo Horito since 2001 for the help and knowledge, always with respect and loyalty.
"Do not have a black belt, be the black belt." OSS!
Our Philosophy
We believe in the concept of "soft art", which emphasises the use of technique and leverage to overcome opponents, rather than relying on brute strength. This philosophy fosters a sense of inclusivity and social connection, as individuals of all ages and physical abilities can excel in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. We are dedicated to strengthening ethics, morals, discipline, and humility, instilling these values in all of our students.
"It's not about what you say that you know, but what you can prove that you know!" ( Adriano's mindset)
